A former world-class athlete turned educator, Brian's professional repertoire includes roles as an elementary, junior high, and high school teacher, college professor, and college administrator. With a passion for nurturing both minds and bodies, he has also excelled as a football, basketball, and track coach.

Despite starting his academic journey as a special education student, Brian defied expectations, earning a bachelor's degree in Communications and Physical Education, a master's degree in Educational Technology, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. His dedication to education stems from its significance to his parents and a recognition of its often overlooked importance within his Native American/African American heritage.

In addition to his educational pursuits, Brian is a seasoned entrepreneur. After owning a financial services business, he redirected his focus to leadership consulting upon returning to Colorado in 2010. Today, Brian serves as a Mortgage Loan Officer and part owner at Mpire Financial in Florida, while also spearheading several initiatives aimed at empowering individuals and communities.

Brian is the founder of the Journey to Freedom initiative, dedicated to helping black men achieve success, as well as The Remote Assistant Pros, a headhunting firm specializing in virtual staffing solutions. He also established the Metro Funding Group, assisting families in creating living trusts for a secure financial future.

As a respected speaker and coach, Brian shares his wealth of knowledge and experience as a Trust Edge leadership professional. Furthermore, he serves as the chaplain at Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital in Aurora, embodying his commitment to holistic well-being.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Brian is deeply entrenched in community service. His extensive involvement spans numerous organizations and initiatives, ranging from addressing homelessness and affordable housing to advocating for education and racial equity. Brian's tireless dedication to serving others reflects his belief that stable housing is a fundamental right that transcends age, race, and economic status.

Brian is no stranger to social media hosting 3 successful Podcasts and a daily mindset post.

Alongside his remarkable professional achievements, Brian treasures his role as a husband to his incredible wife, Renee, who runs a printing and embroidery business, It’s Just My Hobby. Together, they are the proud parents of eight adult children and grandparents to thirteen grandchildren, with more on the way.

Brian's story is one of perseverance, compassion, and relentless dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others. Through his varied pursuits and unwavering commitment to community service, he continues to inspire and uplift those around him, leaving an indelible mark on the world.
